Michael Carpenter became the assistant athletic director for ticketing and customer relations in 2011. He oversees athletics marketing and ticketing and contributes to all the efforts of each department. Before his current position at JMU, he was the assistant director of ticketing from 1999 to 2001. Carpenter then left for a job at Marshall as the director of ticketing from 2001 to 2004. He returned to JMU in 2004 and was the director of ticketing until 2011 and his promotion to assistant A.D.
